Awesome
Wow, real old school. Foppy disks…
The best game ever made
Ah bad floppy disks … I've managed to save several dying floppy discs over the years using various techniques.
What you should do first is to download a windows freeware called Winimage, then start to back-up all the floppy disks that are still working ok.
When an error fires up, take the floppy disk out, use a Q-tip with alcohol, open the window and very gently brush the magnetic disk inside. Then put it back in and tell winimage to retry to read.
You can sometimes also blow in your floppy disk like in an old cartridge …
If after all of this it still didn't work, you should take a note of the percentage of the disk where the error fired up, so you can know which file is corrupted, then you can replace it in the image with the functional one from your hdd.
By the way, I'm from a website called win3x.org which is backing up tons of old softwares in their best shape possible (We try to get as many CD/floppy images as we can instead of random archives with tweaked files by god knows who and missing music, etc), so your dead edition is still interesting for us as we may be able to restore it ^^
God i wish i could go back in time. had so much fun with that old games.
That iMUSE music in Woodtick is still outstanding, even after all these years. Especially so with the Roland!
Such a nice box! I love the cover artwork!
If you cant fix the old floppy, perhaps you can replace the magnetic round thing inside it?
